The NYC Sheriff has padlocked over 1,500 unlicensed cannabis retailers since 2024, and the licensed market is still finding its footing in the middle of it. We opened The Alchemy because the city deserved a different version of cannabis retail: licensed, transparent, curated.

Where is The Alchemy located in Manhattan?
The Alchemy operates two licensed New York State adult-use cannabis dispensaries. Our Chelsea flagship is at 302 8th Avenue between West 25th and West 26th Streets, two blocks south of the 23rd Street (C/E) station and within a ten-minute walk of Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, and Hudson Yards. Our Flatiron location is at 12 West 18th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, three blocks north of Union Square station and one block from 18th Street (1).
Are you a licensed New York State dispensary?
Yes. The Alchemy holds an adult-use retail dispensary license issued by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM). Every product on our shelf passes third-party laboratory testing for pesticides, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbial contaminants. Certificates of Analysis are available on request.
What hours are you open?
Chelsea (302 8th Avenue): Monday–Wednesday 10am–10pm, Thursday–Friday 10am–12am, Saturday–Sunday 10am–10pm. Flatiron (12 West 18th Street): Monday–Wednesday 10am–10pm, Thursday–Friday 10am–12am, Saturday–Sunday 10am–10pm. Pre-orders placed within sixty minutes of close are still honored — call the store if you are running close.
Do you deliver across Manhattan?
Yes — we offer 1-hour cannabis delivery across all of Manhattan. Chelsea anchors the West Side corridor, Midtown West, Hudson Yards, the Theater District, Meatpacking, West Village, and Tribeca. Flatiron anchors Union Square, NoMad, Gramercy, Greenwich Village, East Village, SoHo, NoHo, Kips Bay, and Murray Hill, plus the rest of the borough. $70 minimum on all delivery orders.
How does pre-order pickup work?
Browse our live menu, add to cart, and pay digitally. We hold your order at the counter under your name. Walk in, show your ID, sign, and walk out, usually under 90 seconds. ID must show 21+ to receive any order; New York law has no exception.
How is The Alchemy different from the unlicensed smoke shops?
Unlicensed Manhattan shops sell untested product, often imported, with no recourse if something is wrong. We are state-licensed, our products are lab-verified, our staff is trained, and our procurement is curated rather than dumped. The whole experience, store, menu, delivery, recall protocol, is built around the assumption that you deserve the same standard of care the rest of New York retail gives you.
